things i want
bass
1. the big muff pedal. sweet distortion, baby! and i love the name. too bad it costs something like 400 sgd. i'm gonna buy the circuitboards and see if i can make my own. hoho.
2. ibanez aw7 autowah. ugly piece of crap. i tried it at chong's place though and this little grey brick wails, skronks, and broomps to the max. when i played with it i felt like i was backing james brown or tower of power. good stuff.
3. fender '67 precision bass. weapon of choice of marcus miller, flea, john deacon, and the ox, mr john entwhistle from the who. how awesome is that? preferably sunburst red, or spraypainted matte black, like mr john deacon himself. oh man. 8000 sgd. the re-issues are about 1000+ sgd. ka-ching.
diving
4. regulator. because oxygen is important to me at 17m. i believe in mares! the mr-12 rebel and octopus are the most value for money. plus they look nice. haha. 900 bucks.
5. bcd. pump it up and save on the swimming. comfort matters when you've just fought through 200m of horrible seaweed and/or pulled yourself hand over hand through raging surf for a drift dive. and i want my bcd to be classic, streamlined black. hence the lust for a zeagle escape. 600 bucks.
alternatively i could do a eugenesim and assemble my bcd from warehouse oms parts. very hardcore. 400 bucks.
6. fins. because i donated one to the azure waters of cebu, and you can't do anything without them. i miss my xpert zooms. 168 bucks. thank god raymond is giving me a new pair.
ultimate
7. freaking new boots! my old ones are dying. have to go to queensway to look for them because i'm not willing to spend 200 bucks on small men's boots. thank god my feet are small enough for kids boots. 70 bucks.
i have freaking expensive hobbies.
