concerning veins, vacations, vrisbee, and vmahjong
tengty and i both had our first venepunctures today! thankfully our victims patients were cooperative, intelligent, uncomplaining, and extremely attractive. hoho.
mr tengty's first attempt was teeth-clenchingly, needle-wobblingly exciting. (the supervising doctor was amazed!) i hope he remembers next time to hold the plastic casing while he hunts for the vacutainer... his second draw was excellent though! bravely stabbing in the needle, while kel and mel squirmed and cringed on his (patient) patient's behalf.
my only attempt went well! the patient reported no pain upon insertion, but complained of mild pain when the vacutainer was drawing blood from his arm.
after the excitement of today cg27 adjourned to novena hk cafe, where frugivorous diets were promptly broken and all-round excellent food was consumed to replenish lost iron. will upload pics of our drawing game and video of venepuncture when time allows (probably not anytime in the near future).
anyway. on wed i won money for the first time (playing against kenrick, mel, ty) in mahjong! lucky hands in the last wind.
tuesday training was pretty slack. throws, no PT. thank god. but lots and lots and lots of throws. trying for the effortlessness and distance now.. my right leg cramped from all the lunging for forehands. and after sunset we threw forehand and backhands hucks till about 8plus to 9pm.

can you believe it? that's the field encircled by the nus track. taken during lull in throwing. gorgeous.
to the philippines! the philippines! i'm bringing my fins and mask/snorkel. excellente. a trio is enough la. booking tickets next week. SET!
