medicweek07, what a blast! carpal tunnel from typing inane, commercial-speak gibberish letters to high-flying sponsors, rich, rich doctors, and rich, rich (soon-to-be-not-)friends. more exciting repetitive stress injuries from crave's sudden accelerated work schedule (all the way up to valentine's day!) and the looming protracted xmas card scrawling session.
finally sent in my car to hup tee again (mr chua was very pleased to see me; 600 bucks' worth of repairs at the very least. and i bought him roti john) because i just adore throwing money at what is essentially a money-guzzling, pollution-spewing hunk of very expensive metal. convenient hunk of very expensive metal, though.
which reminds me: changing money for my indo trip makes me feel very rich. i've never had 1.5 million of anything before.
back to repairs: my bass is fixed! davis guitar rocks. the restringing and input jack change cost me 50. dirt cheap, considering my last restringing cost me 30 bucks. so no more looking at nice basses! not for now at least. not with diving equipment still waiting to be bought. fuck.
death metal gives me a headache. i tried listening to mastodon (critically-acclaimed, mind you!) and even though i heard and appreciated all the crunchy awesome guitar riffs and the blazing technically-perfect drums, and the crisp thudding bassline, and the motif play etc, all i could muster emotionally was an "eh... noisy leh". shit. how am i going to play in a metal band like this. buck up man. i can't be listening to tool and a perfect circle all my metal-career. bleagh.
off to write more letters and earn more money. ka-ching.

in the depth of winter i finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.
