the awesome-st thing about being in a band is the cool things you get to do with the lyrics.
saw a black flag sticker on a cadillac;
a little voice inside my head said:
and then seeing 5 people cup their hand to their mouth and whisper:
"dont look back you can never look back"
equals: AWESOME.
but then again this comes from someone whose idea of cool dancing either looks like a seizure or movement disorder.
more cool things:
1. posing like a rock star! hammering on one string is very conducive to posing and flicking of hair iron-maiden style. actually very difficult to perform that circular hair-flapping thing that all metal guitarists seem to do so effortlessly. how strange... must pick up the skill soon. been practising in my room, and all i've gotten is a lot of vertiginous feelings.
2. dawwwgies. love them. even if they chew on my slippers. even if they are ugly and frisky-- especially if they are ugly and frisky, actually. (i know how you feel, sweetheart.) SPCA parking was hell (5 minutes of "turn! left! right! stop!") and the sad shaven malamutes and the large smelly dogs were very depressing (some of them are obviously never going to be adopted), but it was still one of my better saturday mornings.
3. the saddle club! the crazily-parked car belied my excitement in just getting as fast as possible to all of them. trudged around for an hour like wide-eyed idiots oohing and ahhing at all the gorgeous, HUGE horses. too bad we never found the rainforest beer garden. oh well, i'd take horses over beer any day.
4. meals with friends. even if sometimes they are badly-planned (by me), and destroy all my larval get-fit plans.. hurhur. more menotti's, loykee, and venezia at SAM! god. the desserts are to die for, and the music great. mmm.
5. friends in general-- life wouldn't be half as awesome without them to bug and whine to-- online, over the phone, via email, or in person. and because they say very amusing things. haha. wow. friends rock =)
6. driving! because without a car i have to endure BO on the mrt, just like today (thanks to the fact that i am at most guys' armpit-height) and taking 1.5 hours to cross singapore, and THEN still having to walk for another 10 minutes+ to get where i want. even though parking etc is very very stressful.
keet keeps asking me to work as one of his overnight pool girls, god knows why. it's okay money (8 /hour) and the crowd is interesting. but i enjoy my sleep... so no thank you. i will stick to my other day jobs. he promised me a commission of 20 bucks if i can find him someone (he must be damn hard-up for them) so... if anyone's interested please tell me. hmm.
went to watch eragon today. it was such a ripoff of lotr. and we were surrounded by idiots ("is that a dragon?"), argh. please, do not waste your money on this show.
hm, still haven't collected my bass-- i have been procrastinating. leaving in 3 days and my bag is unpacked, and the stuff i have to bring to indo uncollected. bah. xmas cards sit in a stack, unwritten. okay. im off
