magnificently unprepared/for the long littleness of life.

did you know: laos is one of the few communist countries still extant? can't wait to grab their version of the little red book (picked my copy up in a dubious-looking shop in some roadside market in hk... thanks to ck the native who brought me round the funkiest places.) and wander around the amazing-looking temples.
preparatory shopping begins tmr, at queensway! sandals shall be tried on and hopefully purchased at a reasonable price. going against all (yes, every single one!) the army boys' advice and wearing sandals simply because i'm too lazy to carry 2-kg boots around just for 3 days of jungle trekking. there's no way i'll be able to keep both my socks and boots dry, and i'm not too big a fan of foot rot.
school is starting to suck balls. thank god for the one week break-- don't think i can take another month of exciting virology lectures and cofm tutorials. everyone is m-u-g-g-i-n-g. wtf i don't even know what's going on half the time in lectures. not that i'm particularly proud of being an idiot, but still... just not suited to the mugger life i guess. wonder how i'm gonna survive the next 3 (+2?) years. shit.
league starts in december-- ticktock. anticipatory boot-shopping has already begun.
be wise. be fair. be sure. be there. behave. beware
one thing leads to another
too late to run for cover
much too, too close for comfort now
astaire, sinatra, ella, jobim and billie-- they've been there, done that, and bought the t-shirt.
has it been three years already?
choppy waters and cloudy skies. i've learnt a long time ago that it's impossible to promise happiness; but be assured that life will always be an interesting ride when i'm around.

in the depth of winter i finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer.
