went to a surprisingly-deserted (post-apocalyptic-deserted!) east coast park with ck for a nice day of frisbee and slacking on a beautifully-sunny thursday (was it? i dont keep track of days of the week during holidays beyond 'weekday-weekend'. it's pointless). we were suddenly siezed by a paroxysm of madness and walked across half of ecp (after having walked to ecp from bedok mrt... omg) and rented a double kayak from this bar/equipment rental place run by two filipinos and a sleepy butch that blasted sunny 70's music. ended up paddling near-continuously for an hour while ck bailed out the useless waterlogged excuse for a flotation device. saw a downed windsurfer and borrowed his board for a while, so he got the chance to sit in the kayak and rest, and i got the chance to yank my arms out of my sockets for about 10 minutes, before i got tired of the adrenaline rush, jumped off and paddled the thing back to him. i still cant steer those monstrous things. after that fiasco with the kayak i needed a break, so we adjourned to the hawker centre and then lounged around on the breakwaters till the wind died down enough to play frisbee. ahh... a good slack cures all ills.
nightblading with aileen last night, at ecp (again). it's different at night though. it's not as stuffy and there aren't as many blading-idiots and pedestrians-who-can't-read on the cycle track, so it's much easier to blade. and we caught the ndp fireworks from the bedok jetty... how romantic. ahaha. ha. ha. haha.
school's starting soon. blah.
