no, i am not a morning person
the morning chorus, as interpreted from my newly-shifted bed.
0630h: budgies go psychotic and try to kill each other. parrot urges them on with eardrum-rupturing shrieks.
0635: canary decides to join in the fun and trills out cheery little variations on tin whistle blast in f major at top volume.
0640: a hundred trucks begin to perform precision maneouvres at the carpark right under my house. the room is filled with the plaintive bleating clamour of trucks reversing, accompanied by the infuriated hissing pistons of the one thousand buses that suddenly decide to descend upon the bus stop outside my estate (which are never there when i'm running late for school)
0645: the sun hurls its most piercing glaring annoying rays of light directly through my curtains, which then defy all the known laws of physics to make a 180-degree turn and scour the insides of my eyeballs with glaringly-bright MORNING LIGHT. AUGH.
0650: the birds have not died yet. the sun persists in annoying me. the noises of ten thousand westlake, ri and rj students magically waft up 20 storeys undiminished and straight into my already-benumbed ears.
0700: my pink madeinchina alarm clock bleeps and is promptly hurled at the cupboard. the battery cover comes off, again, and i invariably step on it and poke myself fully awake.
0720: my morning rendezvous with caffeine. ahh.
did i mention, im not a morning person? nice coffee commercial there.
happy morning... happy morning... wake up, you sleepyhead, you can sleep when you are dead.
