bad weather :(
due to an act of god (staple it together and call it bad weather, says jack johnson) the aur diving trip has now been moved all the way to the 23rd. bleah. well part of me is pretty relieved because it means i now have absolutely no responsibilities for 3 whole days! noone calling me about musical costumes, bugging me to cut flyers, call ambassadors, go down to TAPAC at 11pm to fix the prop changes, or solicit money. alriiiight.
speaking of musical duties. it is my responsibility to pimp the musical i'm producing for the s'pore arts fest, city of the gods. details as follows:

city of the gods is part of The New Wave, a series of 6 musicals shown over 3 nights which are 100% locally produced, written, and performed. buying one $18 ticket (student price) will entitle you to 1 night's entry, which means you get to catch 2 musicals, both of the highest quality. tickets are available from sistic here.
right. that being over and done with:
diving is omg fun! the feeling of weightlessness underwater is just awesome. of course it's a mite scary-- all that equipment just to keep me alive? and the earache you get from not being able to equalise sucks-- but the feeling of being in a totally new environment rocks. and getting to fool around in the most awesome club ever, with 20-cent arcade games, fantastic yachts, $16 buffets, and the coolest infinity pool is fantastic.
interesting fact about finning: it makes you extremely aware of all the things that are wrong with your legs. i am perpetually rolling to my left not because the vest is improperly balanced (all 3 weights are already on my right) but because every time i kick, my left foot rotates outwards (thanks to the unlockable weak ankle) and i flail it pathetically (crap clicking knee). so the net effect of my kicking produces a very graceful 90 degree roll, but almost zero net forward motion. wonderful. cant even lift my left leg as high as my right, thanks to my perpetual lazy-left-leg gait. i wonder how i'm actually going to move around quickly in the water if a barracuda or lionfish or shark or stingray (!!!) comes after me. oh well. i guess that shall have to wait till the 23rd. sigh.
