writing is not necessarily something to be ashamed of;
...but do it in private and wash your hands afterwards.

well. what ho. all's quiet on the western front. life is thankfully temporarily uneventful. that will change by tomorrow-- lings tutorial, pdp, and mentorlunch. so.
"truth often seduces us on the road to beauty."
"yeah, and triteness kicks our asses on the way there."
so many trite quotes from house it's impossible to quote them all. i swear i've learnt more about clinical medicine from watching 7 episodes of house than from 6 months of med school. wish i could look at someone overdosing on beta-carotene and tell him "your wifes having an affair!".
am broke till the end of the month, and i still owe kenrick 20 bucks for funorama tickets. mummy found a nice shop in great world city that apparently sells very nice bags. so one day when i have time on my hands (read: not in the near future, and quite possibly never) i shall hunt down a new bag. also am saving up for a pair of green and blue rubber reef slippers i happened to see while shopping for em's present at paragon. hmm.
speaking of ems: emseck is back from thailand! hurrah! and now she's working at the ura. hopefully jacinta and i can meet her for dinner before she flies off to melb to continue with archi.
apparently there's a skin study on in nus. you get poked 16 times with a needle and for that you get paid 50 bucks. sounds like easy money, doesn't it? well it's not that simple, at least not for me. consider the fact that i am allergic to:
a) cat/dog hair
b) dust mites
c) seafood
d) lamb/mutton
e) prednisolone (an anti-allergy medicine)
and also have rhinitis, bronchitis, and asthma. well. unfortunately, i don't have sinusitis, which means i can't participate in the test anyway. oh well. there goes an easy 50 bucks.
bah. pdp and mentor meeting tomorrow. goodness my mentor is really such a freaking cheapo-- beans mentor took her to some hotel or other for a buffet dinner. and pdp really sucks when you only get to see one patient for 5 minutes at the most. dumb.
